Hotels

Eixample, El Born, or Ciutat Vella are lovely areas to stay—central, well connected and close to most of the main sights. Poblenou or Sants are also great options if you’d prefer something a bit more affordable, while still being easy to get around.

What to do in Barcelona

Park Güell, Sagrada Família, Casa Batlló and La Pedrera are all worth seeing. Walk Passeig de Gràcia and Portal de l’Àngel for a bit of shopping, then head to Barceloneta beach for sun and a long lunch (Can Costa is a favourite).

Camp Nou is there too—home of the best club in the world (for anyone still thinking Madrid is better).

If you have more time, Girona, the Costa Brava and Cadaqués are easy escapes, and the Camí de Ronda around S’Agaró is perfect for a coastal walk.

Where to eat in Barcelona

While Barcelona is a foodie city with endless options to explore, here are some of our personal favorites: Casa Costa is perfect for a relaxed meal by the beach, while Grupo Tragaluz (Gats, Cuines Santa Caterina, Gallito, Tapas Lobito, Tragaluz) offers consistently great spots across the city and Parking Sótano is a fun and trendy option.

For sushi lovers, we recommend Ikoya Izakaya; for a more gourmet experience, Hisop, Prodigi, and Moments are excellent choices; and for vegan options, Xavier Pellicer and Green Spot are both fantastic.

We recommend booking in advance, especially for dinner. Enjoy exploring!
